Bhagsu (Bhagsunag), Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh

Overnight bus away from Delhi and in the foothills of the Himalayas, Bhagsu is another travelers paradise. With the Dalai Lama's home base in McLeod (1-2 km away from Bhagsu), Bhagsu attracts travelers from all over the world. This little town is surrounded by mountains, snow topped peaks and pine forests. It is just beautiful and a much welcome change from the sweltering heat of Rajasthan and Delhi. The weather consists mostly of rain and fog and there have been some stunningly sunny days as well.
